Champion Juicer’s Banana Ice Cream Video

I received quite a lot of email enquiries after I posted the Champion Juicer’s Instant Tutti-Frutti Sherbet recipe. A number of you actually requested for a video showing how Champion Juicer makes ice cream or instant fruit sherbet. I stumbled upon this interesting Champion Juicer video demonstration by Rener Gracie on the making of Instant Banana Ice Cream.

It was presented in such a light hearted manner and I truly enjoyed watching it. The entire video takes approximately 9 minutes and that’s the amount of time one would need to make a big serving of  Champion Juicer’s Instant Banana Ice Cream, including cleaning up the juicer’s parts and re-assembling. That also includes some time for him to talk, to eat the ice cream and to spin around looking for the missing ice cream. I am amazed how versatile Champion Juicer can be.

Watch it with a smile.

Champion Juicer’s Instant Tutti-Frutti Sherbet

  • Clean and cut any type of fresh fruits into longitudinal strips to fit the feeder chamber of Champion juicer. Freeze the fruit till solid before running them through the Champion Juicer. Use the Champion Juicer blank to homogenize the frozen pieces of fruits.
  • Be creative to prepare instant Sherbet of different varieties of fruits.
  • Instead of adding sweetener or sugar to the homogenized mixture, feed dried fruits or frozen banana through the Champion Juicer for added sweetness and a creamy smooth texture. Alternate tart fruits with sweet fruits when you homogenize the frozen pieces.
  • Serve immediately or return mixture back to the freezer in a sealed container.

Alternatively,

  • You may homogenize the fresh fruits with Champion Juicer first, then freeze mixture in freezing trays till solid. Slice the frozen mixture into narrow strips to be homogenized with Champion Juicer. Serve at once. This alternative allows you to determine if the fruits mixture need a sweetener, so that it can be added before the freezing of the fruits.

Frozen sherbet mixtures may be stored in freezer bags or sealed container for future use. This is a good way to utilize the abundance of fruits in season.

One golden tip: To get a thicker and creamier Sherbets, chill the juicer body, cutter, blank and bowl before homogenizing the frozen fruits. This is easily done by placing the Champion Juicer parts in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before assembling.

Caution: Please do not place parts in freezer to chill.

Enjoy your healthy cool summer treat….

Champion Juicer makes Sherbet?

My daughters and I were having great fun in the kitchen yesterday making sherbet with Champion Juicer. My youngest daughter asked me what’s the difference between sherbet  and the sorbet we made last week. The two elder sisters attempted to explain but they ended up in a little argument that needed a delicious “creamy sherbet” to cool them down.

Yes, creamy… that’s what I said. Sherbet contains dairy or other fat making it creamy, similar to ice cream whereas sorbet is free of fat or milk. These two icy summertime treats have similar base ingredients ie. fruit juices or pureed fruits, sugar and water. That makes sorbet friendly to the lactose intolerant individuals since it contains no dairy and of course, it has lower calories. Sorbet is generally softer, granular in texture but sherbet has a firmer and smoother consistency.

I am going to share with you a sure hit sherbet recipe using the versatile Champion Juicer.
