What can be better than a glass of refreshing cool juice in the mid noon of a hot summer day? With the hot summer heat consuming my entire being, I dug deep into my Champion Juicer recipes archive, and retrieved a few of my favorites. Here’s one….
“Cu-Lime Cool” with Champion Juicer
2 Green Cucumbers
Ice cubes (optional)
Peel the cucumber if it is not organically grown. Slice into big long strip for ease of feeding them into the Champion Juicer feeding chamber.
Clean the lime and cut into quarters. Remove all seeds as the seeds may leave you with a bitter after taste. Push the two ingredients into the feeding chamber of the Champion Juicer and voila, you get yourself an instant fix ! You may grate the zest of an extra lime for garnishing and added floral aroma.
Lime is a good source of Vitamin C and cucumber’s cooling properties give a rejuvenating touch to the body. Cucumber juice aids skin eruptions of many kinds, especially with the addition of a little alfalfa juice.
Raw vegetables and fruits juices prepared using Champion Juicer is unbeatable in terms of its healing properties. Generally, I would prefer to juice my daily minimum 5 servings of raw vegetables and eat the fruits in whole. No matter how nutritious the fruits are, they still contain a certain amount of sugar in the form of fructose. Fructose contributes to extra calories input into our bodies.
Having said so, the addition of certain fruits in the raw vegetable juices made by Champion Juicer is beneficial. It broadens the nutrition spectrum in the juice and enhances its overall taste as well.

My top pick of fruits are mainly citrus fruits such as, oranges, grapefruits, lemons, lime and tangerine. These citrus fruits contains high vitamin C which is a high detoxifying and cleansing agents. Their fructose content are relatively lower as compared to other sweet fruits. Citrus fruits may be added to carrot, cucumber, celery, beets juices to make excellent juice. Always alternate the vegetables with the juicy citrus fruits when pushing them into the Champion Juicer. This helps to extract the hard vegetables more efficiently.
Other fruits which can be added to the vegetable juices are, star fruits, pineapples, green papaya, green apples and guava.

Try them to feel the difference…
Looking at the daily negative news reporting of the global A(H1N1) virus pandemic (refer news extract below), it just dawned on me one thing: The one and only urgent measure you and I must take immediately is to strengthen our own Immune System. There is no better way, not vaccine, not drugs, nor any complicated bio-technologies. You and I need to get back to the “Basic” of Health. The total health of our Immune System depends on the well-being of our Gut, the digestive system.
Drinking lots of raw, fresh fruit and vegetable juices is one of the most effective ways to clean up our Gut. Investing into a good juice extractor such as Champion Juicer is the way to go. Efficiency is what you and I want, good quality live juice is what you and I need. Due to the ability of Champion Juicer in extracting high yield and nutrient packed fruit and vegetable juices, you are going to get a quick boost in your immune system each time you drink these raw fresh fruit and vegetables juices.
The raw, fresh fruit and vegetable juices that Champion Juicer extracted is also rich in enzymes. With the cooked food, processed food diet that we ingest daily, our diet is seriously void of enzymes in particular digestive enzymes. If food could not be digested and broken down effectively, our bodies suffer malnutrition, even though we may be seemingly eating nutritious food.
Therefore, “Champion Juicer Makes Anti-flu Juices” is not an overstatement. Stay tune for more Champion Juicer Anti-flu juice recipes…..

I have shared briefly on the benefits of vegetable juice to revitalize our bodies. Now, I am going to share a few tips and tricks on preparing fresh raw vegetable juices using Champion Juicer.
1. Which vegetable should you juice?
Good question! It is all up to YOU.
To make juicing pleasant and enjoyable, the vegetables you choose must taste pleasant or according to your taste preference.
Avoid strong tasting vegetables eg. leeks, onion, garlic etc even though these are healthy choices.
Be creative to try mix and match different types of vegetables so that you will get a good variety of nutrients.
One good guide I follow is to incorporate a rainbow colored range of vegetables in my juices. Champion Juicer chews up practically any type of vegetables you feed to the juicing chamber.
2. Balance vegetables which are high in sugar content with other lower sugar vegetables.
Generally, root vegetables contain higher sugar than those vegetables that grow above the ground.
Use carrots, beetroots, potatoes, cabbage etc in moderation and always mix with vegetables like celery, cucumber, leafy greens, lettuce etc. These are choices that are friendly to the Champion Juicer.
3. Use organic vegetables whenever possible and stick to local produce.
Even though Champion Juicer separates the mineral nutrients from the pulp where inorganic pesticides may be trapped, it is always wise to spent a little more to buy organic grown vegetables. You will get more nutrients out of organic vegetables.
Support the local produce or farm. That way, you will get vegetables that are fresh and full of enzymes.
4. Drink immediately.
Even though Champion Juicer can make you high quality juices which are not compromised by oxidation, you will get the best of nutrients if you drink it immediately after you juice it.
Having said so, juices made with Champion Juicer can be stored up to a day with a slight decrease in nutrients.
Here’s what you should do. Pour the juice gently into a narrow necked glass bottle right up to the very top to keep the oxygen out. Screw tight the lid, wrap the bottle with Aluminum foil to cut out the light. Store in fridge.
Fresh raw vegetables juice made with Champion Juicer is packed with nutrients, trace minerals, vitamins and enzymes. Vegetable juices deliver nourishment enzymes to your body in a matter of minutes. Champion Juicer separates the mineral elements and the distilled water from the fibers of vegetables very effectively. The vegetable juices bypass the digestive processes which takes up much energy and get absorbed quickly by our body. You will get an instant boost of energy after drinking a glass of vegetable juice made with Champion Juicer.
You may ask: why not blend the vegetables or eat them whole, instead of juicing them? Well, the fact is fibers contain no nutritional values. It only acts as a broom, sweeping your intestine clean. If fiber is still present in your juice, it will render the absorption of nutrient inefficient. Champion Juicer is very good at throwing the fiber out of vegetables.
Vegetable juices made with Champion Juicer have been found to contain enzymes in abundance. Enzymes acts as catalysts and they are the agent for change or action without they themselves being changed. When the enzymes are activated, the life-containing elements in food are also being released in our body
The juices extracted by Champion Juicer from fresh raw vegetables are the channels by which you can furnish all your body cells and tissues with the nutritional enzymes you need because it can be readily digested and assimilated.
Throughout my years of juicing fruits and vegetables using Champion Juicer, carrot juice forms the foundation for all the other juices. I add carrot juice into my daily diet.
When I first started to prepare carrot juice, I was using a blender. The blended carrot juice did not give me the full nutrients which my body needed at that time. It merely cuts up the carrots as fine as I wanted but it did not do the job of extraction.
I then switched to a centrifugal juicer, which gave me better carrot juices. I benefitted from the carrot juices produced by the centrifugal juicer. I experienced some low level detox when I drank it in big volume. What the centrifugal juice did was, in principle, scratching and grating the carrots on the sharp rotating bottom plate into fine pulp, then using centrifugal force to spin the pulp unto a filter basket which separates the juice from its pulp. The heat produced during the high speed spin has destroy some beneficial enzymes and heat sensitive vitamins.
After a while, I read about Champion Juicer and I owned one not long after that. Champion Juicer chewed up all the carrots and the juice it extracted was very rich, both in taste and color. I experienced detox with just a small glass of carrot juice that Champion Juicer produced. It is awesome!
The carrot juice made by the Champion Juicer will not oxidize quickly due to the low rpm, therefore you can store them in a screw tight narrow neck glass bottle for a day or two. It will stay fresh throughout.
Raw carrot juice is a must in everyday juicing. Try it and you will see the difference.
There are a few interesting tricks when juicing with Champion Juicer.
Juicing soft fruits and vegetables
This juicer is excellent for juicing hard fruits and vegetables. When comes to soft fruits or leafy vegetables, Champion juicer is less efficient. Here’s what you can do.
Plan your juicing ingredients to have a mix of soft and hard fruits or vegetables
Juice a few pieces of soft ones then followed by the hard ones
Repeat till you finish all the ingredient.
The hard fruit will help to push the soft ones through easily hence yields maximum juice
Juicing ginger, garlic or onion
Do not juice ginger, garlic or onion at the tail end when juicing with Champion Juicer. Push these ingredients through together with other juicy hard fruits or vegetables for eg. green apples, carrot, celery, beet etc.
Remove all seeds
When you are juicing with Champion Juicer, be sure to remove all seeds in the fruits of your choice. The apple seeds contain cyanogenic glycosides which is poisonous. Raw seeds are also “enzyme inhibitors” which will neutralize some of the enzymes your body produces. In fact, eating foods with enzyme inhibitors may cause a swelling of the pancreas in the long run. So, make sure you remove all raw seeds.
Peeling the skins
If you are not using organic fruits and vegetables when juicing with Champion Juicer, you do need to peel the skins of any fruits. Wash and rinse the leafy vegetables thoroughly before you juice.
Make sure you peel the skin of non organic carrots and discard the green top. Be generous to cut at least an inch from the green top and use the rest of the root. The green top contains certain form of poison when one takes in a large amount.
Making carrot juice with Champion Juicer gives you the best supply of Beta Carotene. Beta Carotene is a powerful antioxidant effective in fighting against some forms of cancer, especially lung cancer. Current research suggests that it may also protect against stroke, and heart disease. Research also shows that the beta carotene in vegetables supplies this protection, not vitamin supplements.
